Wood & Mallet

Wood & Mallet is a furniture company who pride themselves in creating high quality, traditional hand-carved French furniture. We were tasked with designing a logo for the brand that communicated their offerings while maintaining a level of classic French minimalism; très chic.

We achieved this by combining Playfair, a modern Serif font, Avenir, a classic font that literally translates into ‘future’ (hence the modern feel) and iconography symbolising the carving tools used in creating the furniture.
