New kids on the Cape Town soccer scene, Cape Umoya, approached us to create a brand identity for them.
The design process focused on creating a symbol everyone could identify with: Table Mountain. We approached it from a different angle, Devil’s Peak as viewed from the east. It represents the region where most of their fans are based, their home ground.
The sharpness and boldness of the logo mark make it easily recognisable. The blue represents the sky that we all share, a united spirit. Umoya is isiXhosa for spirit.”
